Luca Tosadori

Luca Tosadori is a PhD student in Gender Studies and Scandinavian Studies at the University of Bologna since 2017. He graduated cum laude at the University of Trento in 2016, completing a double degree programme at the Technological University of Dresden with a thesis on August Strindberg’s legacy in contemporary American theatre. His research project centres on a comparative analysis of the work of contemporary women playwrights in Great Britain and Scandinavia, through the lens of the semiotics of theatre and drama, feminist literary criticism, and translation studies. More precisely, he is focusing on the debate of feminist issues in Caryl Churchill’s theatre, together with the reception of Swedish and Norwegian feminism in the works by Scandinavian playwrights Margareta Garpe and Bjørg Vik.
