Claudia Di Giacomo is co-founder of the Rome-based cultural organisation PAV, together with Roberta Scaglione. She co-directs PAV in the development of many projects, defining strategies in order to support contemporary theatre and theatre-makers. She has worked with with artists such as Mario Martone, Luca Ronconi, Federico Tiezzi, among many others.
Claudia also runs PAV’s International Department, developing cross-border projects such as “Face à face”, a joint project between France and Italy running from 2007 to 2017.
Claudia’s other major commitment is as founder and project leader of the European-funded large-scale project Fabulamundi Playwriting Europe. Starting with a pilot edition in 2012, Fabulamundi is now an international network, with the principal aim of promoting and supporting contemporary dramaturgy. Fabulamundi encourages the activities and artists operating in the network and offers playwrights broader horizons through international dialogue and exchange of ideas. Fabulamundi is now working with 120 playwrights from 16 different European countries and 23 theatres, with festivals and organisational support from 17 different countries.
Claudia Di Giacomo also teaches "Theatre Managing Models" at University of Roma Tre, and "Theatre Management" at the National Academy of Performing Arts of Rome.
