ANNA KRAJEWSKA-WIECZOREK is a Professor Emerita of theater history and critical studies in the School of Theater Film and Television at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She works with Michael Hackett on translations from Polish to English

Their English translation and adaptation of Gombrowicz’ A Feast at Countess Kotlubay’s was published by Yale Theater Magazine as part of the Gombrowicz centenary celebration. The production with Barbara Krafftowna in the title role was the first Gombrowicz short story adapted into English for theatrical presentation. Directed by Hackett with dramaturgy by Krajewska-Wieczorek, the production was performed at the Third International Theatre Festival in Radom.

Other collaborations include productions for the Teatr Centrum Sztuki Studio (An American in Warsaw: Songs of George and Ira Gershwin) and the Teatr Dramatyczny (Fallen Angels) in Warsaw, the Sixth International Gombrowicz Theatre Festival (Meditations on Virginity) in Radom, the Ninth International Theatre Confrontations Festival in Lublin followed by tours to Warsaw, Lodz and Krakow and many Polish theater productions and workshops in the UCLA Department of Theater.
