Amy Clare Tasker is co-director for Voila! Europe Theatre Festival, programming multilingual, multicultural, multidisciplinary performance in London. Born in the UK and raised in California, she is passionate about cross-cultural exchange. Amy began her career in San Francisco, where she was artistic director of Inkblot Ensemble, and an associate artist with Cutting Ball Theater and EXIT Theatre. She graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a degree in Drama, after a year at the University of Manchester as an ‘international’ exchange student. Since returning to the UK in 2013, Amy has created performances at Rich Mix, Camden People’s Theatre, Theatre Delicatessen, LOST Theatre, Cockpit Theatre, Canal Cafe Theatre, Theatre Utopia, and the Southbank Centre’s Women of the World Festival. As artistic director of Pinecone Performance Lab, Amy is developing a solo showHelen of Troy Calls Bullshit and an interactive oral history performance Home Is Where. She facilitates the London Devised Theatre Intensive, a transformative Open Space workshop for theatre makers.
